Who We Are

Our History

In 2020, a group of homeschooling families in the North Charlotte area began meeting to discuss what it would look like to build a homeschool community. The original families had past experience at Classical Conversations communities. We loved many things about classical education, but wanted a more customizable experience. We began meeting as Carolina Schole Community in August 2020 with a core group of families. Our goals were to create a Christian, academic co-op where our children could be immersed in Christ-centered truth and goodness, while also providing a joyful, life-giving community with like-minded families. Our aim has always been to provide a highly beneficial and academically-enriching community at a reasonable cost.

What We Value

  • Reading. We prioritize making space for reading and enjoying great books.
  • Excellence in Education.  We believe the very best education CAN happen within a homeschool environment and work hard to ensure our students are being challenged as they learn.
  • Communication. We want to articulate our thoughts well through speech and writing.
  • Diligence. We want our kids to explore their creative interests and to be willing to work hard, whatever that looks like.
  • Father leadership. We see the power of a dad in the life of a family, and we want to champion this role in our community. We recognize that not all families have this benefit at home, but we want our community to be a place where dads are visible and active.
  • Nature. We value enjoying and learning about the beauty in God’s created world.
  • Humility. We are willing to listen, to invite experts in, to learn from each other, and to be corrected.
  • Kindness. We do not tolerate meanness and unkindness. We strive to be inclusive, respectful, and inviting.

What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth  His sinless life , His miracles , His vicarious and atoning death His Resurrection, His Ascension to the right hand of God, His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace and through faith alone are we saved.
  •  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other  We believe that God's command is that there be no sexual intimacy outside of or apart from marriage between a man and a woman.
  • We believe that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as either male or female in conformity with their biological sex. These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
  • We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life.
